Happy Halloween Part Deux

Halloween was beyond exhausting this year! First the kids DID NOT want to have their costumes on. Radley was an Alabama football player. He is seen here running the "I just stole some more candy" route.

Sabrina was Big Al, the Crimson Tide's mascot. David was Alabama's legendary Coach Bear Bryant (although one lady mistook him for Tom Osbourne and I have NOT heard the end of it...). Then the kids found the candy stash. Radley ate half of a tootsie roll with the wrapper still on and thankfully Sweet Pea was still celebrating her find and was too excited to realize that she could eat what was in the bowl!He was pretty excited when he found out the wrapper actually comes OFF the candy. Tastes soooo much better that way!
But of course, Mommy came in and broke up the party :(Radley, although darn cute in his ball ball guy outfit, was a very frustrating trick or treater. Neither David nor I are very patient people, but we had to keep reminding ourselves that he is only 2 and 3/4 years old! He loved walking around and being around all of the people. As we were walking down the sidewalk, he would keep saying "I treat," but trying to get him to go up to get candy was a losing battle. We did get a couple of pictures at the houses where he went. Here is the "Coach" trying to motivate a very stubborn and very tired trick or treater.

Eventually you learn that there are some battles not worth fighting! Can't wait until next year!!!!
